American M9A1 Respirator

American M9 Respirator complete with issue tin and haversack.
The M9 was used in the USA until the introduction of the M17 and was cloned for use by the Finnish Defence Forces.

  1. Tell me, did you find any problems with this mask? Like was there any discoloration, softness, permanent set or warping in the facepiece, fraying or scrunching of the elastic head harness, yellowing or scratching of the lenses, or anything else? Because I may tr to get one of these some day and I would like info if unissued masks come with problems right out of the tin. Regards, Jack. :)

    1. No problems at all surprisingly, I think these masks being stored inside a tin helped reduce that, a few of my other surplus masks have had problems like that, probably from sitting in a warehouse for years.
      The M9 however seems to be essentially brand new.

    3. No problem, if you do get one, try and get one unissued with the whole set like I did, it should mean the mask is preserved a lot better as I had to actually tear the can open to get at the mask on mine.
